Chinese Broccoli in Oyster Sauce

Chinese Broccoli in Oyster Sauce

Ingredients

  • .5lb Chinese broccoli (Gai Lan)- washed and cut into 2 inches long
  • 3 cloves garlic- bruised
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2-3 tbsp vegetable stock or water
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1 1/2 tbsp oil

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a wok over the medium-high heat and sauté garlic until yellowish.
  2. Add Chinese broccoli and toss in hot oil for 10 seconds.
  3. Add oyster sauce, soy sauce, and sugar. Stir for 2 minutes or until Chinese kale turns slightly soft.
  4. Add vegetable stock or water if it becomes too dry. Check the seasoning and serve hot.
